Procreateは次期アップデートを最後にiPad 3や初代iPad miniの対応を終了へ

いよいよこの時が来たというべきでしょうか。iPad定番のお絵かきアプリ「Procreate」の開発メーカーであるSavageが、iOS10非対応の端末のサポートを今後打ち切ると発表しています。
iPad mini初代などの端末では、次期アップデートを最後にそれ以降のアップデートができないことになります。

iPad3や初代iPad miniでは3.1.2が最終アップデートに

今回発表された3.1.2以後のアップデート非対応端末は以下のようになります。ちなみにProcreateはすでにiOS9.3以降が対応となっています。

Procreate 3.1.2 Beta

We have some sad news – it’s time to say goodbye to the iPad 2, iPad Mini 1, iPad 3. These devices have been with us for a long time, and we’ve seen some amazing artwork come from them over the years.

As these devices are not supported by iOS 10, we will no longer be able to support them either, but we’re doing one final update to make sure any artists using Procreate on these devices are left with the best possible version.

With this in mind, we’re working on a patch to squash some final bugs, and we need to make sure that it’s effectively doing so. If you’ve got an older device and can help us test, we’d love to hear from you!

If you’d like to help us test the Procreate 3.1.2 beta, here’s what you’ll need:

an iPad 2, iPad Mini 1, or iPad 3 running iOS 9.3

an established account on this forum.

a familiarity with the features, basic and advanced, of Procreate 3.1

an understanding that you may be required to keep some features and aspects of Procreate 3.1.2 confidential until release.

a willingness to provide prompt and detailed feedback.

At this stage we already have enough testers on newer devices, but if we do need more in future, we’ll make an announcement. If you’re interested in being involved, send an email to matt.meskell@savage.si with Procreate 3.1.2 Beta in the subject line, letting us know what device you’re using, and if you have any relevant prior beta testing experience. We won’t be accepting any beta applications from replies to this thread.
